As state-of-the-art as it is historic, Craneway Pavilion is a 45,000 square-foot facility in an award-winning, architecturally significant Ford Assembly Plant building dating back to 1931, with an adjoining 20,000 square-foot open-air patio, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces. Additional conference space with break out rooms available.

Craneway Skyroom & Conference Center
NEW- In Spring 2012 the Craneway Pavilion added a 40,000 sq ft conference center facility with a spacious general session area, 4 separate breakout rooms, open prep-kitchen area (no cooking facility). Located on the second floor of the Ford Assembly Building, a minute walk from the main Pavilion, featuring the same industrial look and architectural style. ADA accessible (elevator). Great for corporate events - meetings, conferences, fundraisers, and private celebraitons - proms, weddings, quinceaneras, memorial services, and other. Map (PDF).
Craneway Pavilion is designed for maximum sustainability, combining 21st century’s most forward-thinking building standards and green technologies with the structure’s original environmentally friendly features- the Albert Kahn’s south-facing sawtooth roof design, including more than 40,000 panes of glass fills the building with natural light and supports a one-megawatt rooftop solar power plant.
The hand-crafted wood-slab tables and bar tops used in the Craneway Pavilion and Assemble Restaurant are made from salvaged white oak trees. We use fresh, local, seasonal and organic ingredients whenever possible in the Assemble restaurant, as well as eco-friendly disposables and cleaning solutions in our catering.
Craneway offers full production services and has established a network of vendors for all your specialty needs and equipment rentals.
Craneway has an excellent relationship with both the City of Richmond and Police & Fire Departments’ officials to assist with any permits and planning for your event if such are required. Book Event
