Inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond, the Oakland East Bay Symphony, the Craneway Pavilion and the
City of Richmond will team up to host a patriotic, family-friendly celebration featuring live music, food, an instrument petting zoo
and fireworks.


5:00pm: Warf area open outside Craneway. Parking $10

6:30pm: Craneway Doors open. Live music begins featuring performances by Oaktown Jazz Workshops and other local groups.

8:00pm: Oakland East Bay Symphony concert conducted by Music Director Michael Morgan. Patriotic, spirited works to celebrate America's Independence Day, including Sousa marches, film music by John Williams, a Disney medley, the Suite from the popular Netflix series House of Cards by composer Jeff Beal, music from The Sound of Music and more, with plenty of audience sing-along opportunities.

9:15pm: The Grand Finale featuring patriotic music accompanying the City of Richmond's spectacular fireworks display over the water.

The evening will be hosted by KDFC radio's Dianne Nicolini.

The Craneway Pavilion is located at 1414 Harbour Way South in the Marina district of Richmond and can be accessed from the 580 freeway. Driving Directions

Parking $10. The wharf area and parking open at 5:00 pm, and the Pavilion will open at 6:30 p.m.

Seating,  is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, including ADA. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.

Food and Beverage:
The Craneway will offer an Independence Day-themed concession menu.
Beer, wine and additional beverages will also be available inside. Picnics are permitted inside Craneway Pavilion and pier. No outside alcohol will be permitted.

The adjacent restaurant, Assemble, will feature  special Independence menu beginning at 5pm and remain open prior to and during the July 3rd event until 9:00pm. Reservations are highly recommended at 510-215-6025.

Also on site is the new Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front NHP Visitor Education Center honoring the millions of women who worked for the Home Front. Many of these pioneering "Rosies" toiled in the historic Ford Assembly Building at Richmond's Ford Point. The Visitor Center will stay open until 8:00pm on July 3rd so that those attending the Target Independence Day celebration can spend time in the facility. Admission is free.
